IWWF E&A Tournament Council

To Be A TC Member

THE PRACTICAL SIDE OF BEING A COUNCIL MEMBER

E&A TC holds 3 or 4 meetings during a year.

  • One meeting is held in conjunction with the E&A Congress – usually the last weekend in January.
  • Then a spring meeting – often in conjunction with the E&A Officials Seminar.
  • Then a November meeting – at a central venue where all the Councils and the Admincom meet on the same weekend. A great opportunity to “pick the brains” of the other Councils!

Once elected on to the TC by the E&A Congress, you are there for a 2 year term and then you are up for re-election again.

You are there to represent the Sport as a whole; not your Federation or your Country, not just the skiers, not just the officials, but the Sport as a whole - you have to consider everything and everyone.

The real work of the TC is done outside the meetings.

You will be given an area of responsibility which will involve some administrative work of some kind.

Out of pocket administrative expenses are recoverable (post, fax, phone, email, paper, envelopes etc).

The E&A Administration Office handles distribution to officials and Federations etc.

Communication is very important - you need to be hooked up to the Internet - we all use Email a lot.

Expenses

  • You are responsible for your own travel and hotel costs.
  • Your federation/government may be able to assist with this.
  • E&A Office makes a payment to Council members of € 250.00 per meeting (2016).
